Manufacturer: Unknown – 14 postcards from a booklet.
The 14 postcards in this collection clearly come from a booklet as they all have one serrated edge (except for one card where the edge has clearly been cut off). These booklets were quite popular at one time in France. I now have four others related to Vence and I’m sure there must still be more. The other four are manufactured by Rostan & Munier, Edition Pleint, Collection La Cigogne and Munier Editeur d’Art.
The cards all feature a sepia image on the front with a short description and a number. The backs of the cards are all identical and provide no further information.
Unfortunately, the name of the manufacturer of these cards is not printed anywhere on any of the cards. However, the photos and the numbers exactly match cards manufactured by Edition L.R., Cagnoli Papeterie, Levy et Neurdein Reunis and Levy Fils et Cie. So, I suspect this booklet was manufactured by one of those four companies.
I have 14 cards so it’s very likely that I am missing a few cards. Most likely the booklet had 15 or 20 cards.
