I first came to France to cycle with my friends Les and Teresa in 2003. We had such a good time cycling through the Alpes, the area around Nice, and Paris, that I started coming back almost every year. Sometimes with friends, sometimes by myself. It’s a big country and you’ll find all kinds of cycling adventures in the various regions and departments. I love it here in Vence because I’m very close to the coast and the mountains. I can hop on my bike and be down to the seaside in 20 minutes or I can throw my bike into the car and be up in the mountains for some tremendous climbs in less than 2 hours. It’s paradise for me.
