Manufacturer: Edition Pleint – 12 postcards in a booklet.
The 12 postcards in this collection manufactured under the name of Edition Pleint come from a postcard booklet. These booklets were quite popular at one time in France. I know of two of them related to Vence but I’m sure there must be more. The second one is manufactured by Munier, Editour d’Art.
This booklet features 12 postcards all of which have a sepia tinted image on the front. There is also a location and a short description on the front of each card. There are no numbers. Most people won’t notice but there is a logo on the front of the booklet which says “ADIA NICE.”
The backs of the cards are all identical.
The address listed on the back of this booklet is:
USINE ADIA
Chemin de St-Roch
NICE
Additionally, it also says: Edition PLEINT, Epicerie – VENCE.
Note: The scans here are not up to my usual quality. In order to get a perfect scan I would have had to have bent the pages of the booklet considerably and I, of course, didn’t want to do that as it would have damaged what is otherwise a nearly pristine booklet. So, I carefully opened the booklet to each page as much as I could without bending or breaking anything and then took photographs of the pages with a camera. I worked with them a bit in Photoshop to get them nice and rectangular and in most cases a tiny bit of the card is cut off at one end or the other.
