The postcards in this collection manufactured under the name of Cie des Arts Photomécaniques come from a postcard booklet. These booklets were quite popular at one time in France. I now have eight of them related to Vence but I’m sure there must be more. The other seven are manufactured by Edition Pleint, Rostan & Munier and Munier Editeur d’Art.
This booklet features 10 oversized (15cm by 10cm) postcards all of which have a dark sepia tinted image on the front. The backs contain a location, a short description and a number. In addition to cards of Vence this booklet contains two cards for Saint-Paul-de-Vence and one card for Tourettes-sur-Loup, neighboring villages of Vence. Unfortunately, my copy is missing 2 postcards. Additionally, two of the postcards are of St-Paul-de-Vence and another is of Tourette-sur-Loup, leaving just 5 cards from Vence in this booklet.
