A small packet of beautiful color drawings of 8 churches and chapels located in the Nice old town.

I found this little packet of color drawings at the old book market held on Saturday mornings in Nice. It consists of eight cards, each one depicting one of the churches or chapels in the old town. A heavy paper “wrapper” folds around the cards and fastens with a small cut-out on the back. A final card has a small map and a list of the churches.
Each card has a beautiful full-color illustration of the church on the front. On the back is the name, the address, the year(s) it was built and the style of the church. The cards are approximately 15cm wide and 21cm tall.
Unfortunately, there is absolutely no information anywhere on this entire package about where they came from or who manufactured them. So, I have no idea when they were published, but my best guess is sometime in the 1980s or 1990s. There is a small logo on the back of the wrapper, but no name associated with it.
The following churches and chapels are represented:
- Eglise Saint-François
- Chapelle de la Miséricorde
- Chapelle de la très Sainte Trinité et du Saint Suaire
- Eglise de l’Annonciation Sainte Rita
- Cathédrale Sainte Réparate
- Eglise du Gesu Saint Jacques le Majeur
- Chapelle Des Pénitents Blancs
- Eglise Saint Martin Saint Augustin
Note that the descriptions are actually on the back of each card. I have placed them on the front, below the drawing, in the gallery below and on the downloads so that they can be easily read.
