Manufacturer: Munier Editeur d’Art – 9 postcards.
The 12 postcards in this collection manufactured under the name of Munier Editeur d’Art are almost all exactly the same.
The front of each card features a black and white image, a number, a location and a short description. “LA COTE D’AZUR” is printed on the front, at the top of each card.
The backs of the cards are all identical and provide no further information.
The address listed on the back of the cards is:
Munier, Editeur D’Art
19, Rue Marceau
This same company released a booklet of post cards which are identical to those found in this collection. I’ve chosen to display the cards from that booklet on a separate page just to keep things organized. The booklet contains 20 cards, 8 of which can be found as stand alone cards in this collection.
This company is almost certainly the same company as another in this collection with 3 cards, Editions d’Art Munier. I’ve chosen to list it separately here simply because of the slight difference in the way they displayed the name and because this is a booklet of cards. Two of the cards in this booklet are exactly the same, including the number, as two cards in that series. It’s also almost certainly a different incarnation of another company with 15 cards in this collection under the name of Rostan & Munier – Édition d’Art. Several of the cards in the booklet are exact matches to the cards in that series. It may indeed be related to yet another company by the name of Edit. d’Art Munier with 3 cards in this collection though they share no common cards.
