The postcards in this collection manufactured under the name of Ed. A. Rion have several different feature a variety of layouts and formats. Most of them are full color photographs, but one features a color drawing and one features a kind of “postcard within a postcards” design. The backs are
Some of the cards feature a bit of information on the front, and some do not. The “Rion” logo is present on the front of many cards. The phrase “La Côte d’Azur inoubliable” can be found on the back of all but one of the cards, where it is changed to “Paysages inoubliables.” This phrase is identical to one found on a card from the manufacturer Editions Azur Riviera, which leads me to suspect the manufacturers must have something in common. Even the typeface used on the phrase is identical.
There are no numbers on any of the cards. A “LYONCOLOR” logo present on the backs of all the cards.
The following address is found on most of the cards:
Ed. A. Rion, 18, rue Raiberti 06 – Nice
On one card the address is changed to:
Ed. A. Rion, 115, Av. St Lambert – 06000 Nice
