Manufacturer: Establissement de Photographie Giletta – 29 postcards.
The six postcards in this collection manufactured under the name of Establissement de Photographie Giletta have very similar layouts and formats. I have divided them into two “editions” based on information found on the fronts of the cards (with a few unidentified ones at the end).
The fronts of all the cards feature either a black and white or a sepia toned image. They all contain a location and a short description. A few contain numbers. There is no further information on the backs of the cards.
Several of the cards have a small round “IMPR. REUNIES NANCY” logo on the front and several have a small round “IMP B&G LYON” logo on the back.
The following partial address if found on the back of all the cards:
Etablissement de Photographie GILETTA, Nice
Some of the cards add “Frères” after “GILETTA” and a few add “R.C. Nice 290” after “Nice.”
If you have any questions about any of the cards featured here, if you see any errors or if you would like more information, drop me an email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
All postcards are from the collection of Howard Shakespeare unless otherwise noted.
