Manufacturer: Editions la Cigogne – 15 postcards.
The postcards in this collection manufactured under the name of Editions la Cigogne have a variety of layouts and designs.
Some of the cards feature a color photograph (surrounded by a thin black border) on the front with large rounded corners. These cards also say “Vence” on the front. Three cards feature a color photograph and crinkled edges while two feature color photographs with regular edges. One card features a black and white photograph with crinkled edges. No other information is found on the front of any of the cards. Three cards have an “IRIS” logo on the front (one has it on the back) and one has a “LA CIGOGNE” logo on the front.
The backs of the cards are all fairly similar with some differences here and there. Many contain the phrase “REFLETS DE LA COTE D’AZUR.” Every card has a small stork logo on the back, though the logo changes a bit on some cards. A few cards also contain a Diplome Prestige de la France logo and the word MEXICHROME.
Most of the cards contain this address on the back:
Editions La Cigogne
Avenue de Larrieu – 31094 TOULOUSE
Several cards have the following address on the back:
Editions « La Cigogne », 7. rue de Millo, Monaco
A few cards contain this address on the back:
Presse-Diffusion – S.A. 12, Quai Antoine 1er – MONACO
Editions “La Cigogne” – Exclusivité HACHETTE
This company, La Cigogne, is the same company as listed elsewhere on the site as Collection La Cigogne and Editions “La Cigogne.” Some of the cards are exactly the same, in some cases the addresses are the same and the logos are similar throughout all of the cards. I have chosen to list the booklet published under “Collection La Cigogne” separately and the other two listings are due to the big difference in the look of the cards (probably due to time).
